Lights Up Theatre Standards

Theatre is often defined as holding up a mirror to humanity. If that is the case, we hold that it must be humane. If we are profiting off of stories of incredible humanity, it is our duty, at the very least, to reflect that humanity in our organizational practices. Sexual harassment and other abusive and inequitable practices can severely impact staff, performers, and audience members and should be eradicated from our environment.
